Shipping

We consider shipping as an option and we make the shipping arrangements; this is because most often we find suitable homes for our ferret kits but they might not be located within a driving distance.

With many years of experience in delivering ferret kits to our clients,
we have been able to perfect the shipping process on our part to make sure your baby ferret is most comfortable on this trip.

We know for a fact that all of the kits are well taken care of. So if you stop and think about it, the airlines are not going to mistreat the kit for fear of lawsuits and customer dissatisfaction. All ferrets are shipped in a ferret cage which keeps them safe and there is food and water present if they so need it. We also enforce their cage with a comfortable bed which they lay on and have some rest while on this journey.

Ferrets are shipped with some of their past and pre-owned belongings which they are connected to so they can easily transition to their new environment. There is no feeling of loss or environmental shock.

We personally make inquires about shipping companies. Making sure they follow USDA guidelines also making sure that they have a good reputation and experience in this process, we will never forgive ourselves if harm comes to any of our little babies. The ferret kit will have the same air as the pilot flying the plane & someone will be there to cater for him/her on board, we do not fly the ferret kits in the cargo section of the plane, they are actually shipped in the passenger section of the plane together with pet nannies until delivery is completed.

When we go to book a flight for our pets, we always call ahead and find the most direct flight available (much as if you were looking for a flight for yourself) Our ferret kits have always arrived safe and sound in their new homes, according to our inquiries over the years, we think it is safe to say it is better to and more comfortable to fly a ferret kit on a 2 – 4 hours flights than driving with a ferret kit for over 4 hours.

The average flight is approximately 4 – 6 hours. We always ask about any delays or layovers and know the exact times and departures of the flights, so we know where the kit is and we are able to give you this information as well. The ferret kit will arrive the same day as it is sent, usually a few hours. We do not accept flights above six hours, we do not want our ferret kit to be under any stress or discomfort. Furthermore, we remain at the airport until it’s in the air to our client.
